La'Chris Jordan

La’Chris Jordan is a multidisciplinary artist, screenwriter and director
living in Los Angeles, California. She is a 2020 Stowe Story Labs
development grant winner for her feature ROSES IN THE WATER and a
2019 winner of The Script Lab’s Screenplay Contest. La’Chris’ short film
JANUARY 14TH is finding success on the festival circuit, garnering Best Short
and Best Director by the Top Indie Film Awards in addition to being an
Official Selection of the Pan African Film Festival, Accra Indie Filmfest in
Ghana, Urban Film Festival, San Francisco Black Film Festival, and the Indie
Short Fest in Los Angeles, to name a few. Her historical pilot PINEY RIDGE
is a SAGindie Fellowship Finalist, a WeScreenplay Diverse Voices Fellowship
Finalist, a Second Rounder in the Austin Film Festival and a semifinalist for
both the Sundance Episodic Lab and the MACRO Episodic Lab in
partnership with the Black List. A former journalist and magazine feature
writer, La’Chris is an alumna of the University of Washington.
