Gautier Lee

Gautier Lee is a queer afrolatina writer-director. They are one of the founding members of Macumba Lab, a collective of black audiovisual professionals in Brazil. They won the Cabíria award in 2019 and were later, in 2020, a finalist of Sir Peter Ustinov Scriptwriting Award, which is granted by the International Academy of Television Arts and Science. They’ve directed the short film “Virtueless” which, on its premiere, has won 5 awards including Best Director and Best Film. They’ve also written for Amazon, Netflix, Comedy Central and Globoplay and were one of the 16 black screenwriters selected for Netflix Brazil’s Creative Colaboratory. Currently, they are the director of Fade to Black Festival.
