Gautier Lee

Gautier Lee is a screenwriter, director, and film critic. She is a founding member of the Macumba Lab collective.

In 2019, she was a semifinalist at Porto Alegre’s Audiovisual Script Festival, the biggest screenwriting festival in Latin America, and the winner of the Cabíria Award in the TV Pilot category with the script Post Motherhood Sisters. She was also selected to Rede Globo’s Black Narratives Lab. The project developed in the Lab became the feature script LOVE 101.

In 2020, she wrote and directed a fiction short film about a real case of racism in a Southern Brazilian university. She was also selected to attend the course “Crafting Your Short Film” by Sundance Institute.
