Larry Collins is a drama writer who is also a television news reporter with 7 EMMY awards. With more than 20 years in broadcasting, he’s had a front row seat and an unfiltered glimpse into history and humanity. Larry currently works for NBCUniversal in Dallas. He wrote, produced, and narrated a news documentary now streaming on Peacock TV. Larry is also a winner of Roadmap Writers’ Diversity Initiative Competition. His work has landed on the Red List in the Top 1% of all projects. As a gay, Black, writer in his early 40s, Larry has a fondness for writing dramas about relatable characters who are forced out of their safe, mundane existences, and into the lives they were meant to explore. He’s lived a life that has earned the experiences he writes about.
