INDIVIDUAL CLASSES:
The OBS on the Grind Quick and Dirty Loglines Class -- $44.65
OBS LOGLINES CLASS MARCH 20, 2010 9:45
A.M. TO 10:30 A.M. You must come up
with a LOGLINE, a one to two line sentence that conveys the essence
of your story. Think of it as a Japanese Haiku, if you will, of your
entire script. A good logline should be able to create the image of
a movie poster in the reader/listener’s mind. Remember, the clearer
your logline, the clearer your story. If your logline rambles, guess
what? Your script will too. Get some helpful tips and great
templates in this class.
Hollywood Script Structure the OBS (Right) Way -- $48.65
SATURDAY, MARCH 20, 2010 10:45 A.M. UNTIL
11:30 A.M. In traditional storytelling
structure, Act 1 is 30 pages long. Act 2, the longest section of the
script is 60 pages in length, and Act 3 would end in 30 pages.
That’s a total of 120 pages. Nowadays, 120 pages is considered a
little too long for a script. The average length is 110 pages. A new
and exciting way to structure a script is to keep the three Act
structure, but divide into Act 2 into two parts. Come learn how the
pros do it in this exciting and informative class.
Dynamic Ways to Introduce Your Protagonists & Antagonist --
$48.65
SATURDAY, MARCH 20, 2010 11:30 A.M.
UNTIL 12:15 P.M. First impressions mean
a lot in the real world. The moment your characters hit the screen,
the audience will give you less than two minutes to decide if they
like them or not. The more dynamic the entrance, the more you hook
us into their journey. That goes for the Protagonist and the
Antagonist alike. A great writer always strives to write powerful
and memorable first impressions. Learn how to make your readers care
in this great and inexpensive class.
Creating Characters That POP! -- $48.75
SATURDAY, MARCH 20, 2010 1:15 P.M.
UNTIL 2:00 P.M. Before an audience
plops $20.00 down to watch your movie, you have to get past the
dreaded Hollywood Script Reader. One way to make sure the reader
becomes and advocate instead of an obstacles is to grab her
attention by creating interesting, engaging characters that jump off
the page and into her life. For the price of this class, you can
learn in 45 minutes what many writers never learn in years. Make it
happen. Sign up, now!
You Got 1 to Hook ‘Em & 5 To Keep ‘Em --
$51.25
SATURDAY, MARCH 20TH, 2:15 P.M. UNTIL
3:00 P.M. You writing career may blast
off or come to a tragic end, depending on how well you hook readers
and producers with the first five pages of your script. That's all
you have. With thousands of screenplays circulating in Hollywood,
yours better pop off the page right from the beginning. Come learn
invaluable tricks of the trade that make your screenplay the best it
can be. FASCINATING and INVALUABLE. Best deal of the workshop
weekend. Not to be missed.
Creating Dilemma - Writing Secrets for
Success from OBS -- $48.75
SATURDAY, MARCH 20, 2010 3:15 P.M.
UNTIL 4:00 P.M. DILEMMA: A situation in
which your protagonist has to make a choice between two equally
unacceptable alternatives. Memorable stories typically have a great
dilemma, and that is why those stories resonate with an audience.
Make sure you know how to soar, not bore your readers with these
master writer tactics used by the very best in the business. You
can't buy a book or find a better priced class for this kind of
information direct from Pros that know.
